Marinzen Alp above Kastelruth

Family-friendly alpine pasture with playground, petting zoo, and hiking trails

Marinzen Alp is located at 1,486 meters above Kastelruth in the Dolomites Alpe di Siusi region. With the new Marinzen lift, located just a short distance from the village center, you can reach the Alp comfortably in just a few minutes, regardless of the weather. Marinzenhütte and the lift are open through summer from June to November. More information and current opening hours are available at www.marinzen.com.

At Marinzen Alp, you’ll find two cozy huts for a stopover: Marinzenhütte with a sunny terrace and the rustic Schafstallhütte, reachable in about a 20-minute walk, passing the famous Hexenstühle on the way back to Kastelruth. For children, there is a petting zoo with ponies, a playground, and a fishing pond. Numerous hiking trails start from the Alp, e.g., to Alpe di Siusi, Puflatsch, or St. Michael.

Fun fact: even the well-known South Tyrolean ski stars Denise Karbon and Peter Fill learned to ski on this plateau.
